Baked Apple

This was a total experiment. I was missing some ingredients and didn't want to cook a whole batch, so I spliced together a couple recipes and ending up mostly just making it up. Wish I had some ice cream or cool whip to top it with.

  1. As a side note, I now understand why people make these in winter and not the middle of summer... it is hot in here now!

  2. Did you bake this in the oven? You can make them quite well in the microwave and not have the heat-up-the-kitchen issue. Plus they are done much faster. You probably will sacrifice a little crispy edges component, but the taste is just the same.

  3. Yes I baked it, at 400-425 degrees if I remember correctly. It was funny because for the first fifteen minutes it looked like it was doing absolutely nothing, but then the last five got more exciting. The apple was good, the sauce in the bottom was amazing. It really was a shame that I had no ice cream.
